Two ways to talk to Jarvis: push-to-talk for precise dictation, and the orb for natural conversation you can interrupt. How they differ and when to use each.

Jarvis gives you two ways to use your voice. They feel different on purpose.

## Push to talk

Hold the hotkey, speak, release. Precise and predictable, this is the mode for dictation and exact commands, because you control exactly what Jarvis hears.

Shortcut: Fn — Hold to talk

## The orb

Double-tap to go hands-free and just talk. The orb is a conversation: it responds in well under a second, and you can interrupt it mid-sentence the way you would a person.

Shortcut: Fn + Fn — Double-tap for hands-free

The glowing sphere is Jarvis listening. It pulses while it hears you and settles when it is your turn.

## What happens under the hood

The orb runs a fast voice model that answers quick things itself and routes the rest. When a request needs real work, it hands off to a stronger agent and speaks the result. Press Escape any time to cancel.
