# Extend Jarvis with MCP
URL: https://jarvis.ceo/docs/mcp/overview
Status: beta

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard for giving an AI assistant new tools. Jarvis speaks it both ways: connect any MCP server, and expose Jarvis to your other agents.

> [beta] MCP support is part of Jarvis, in early access. Download the beta, or join the waitlist for full access.

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard for giving an AI assistant new tools. Jarvis speaks it in both directions, so you are never boxed in by the built-in connections.

## Two directions

- Bring tools in: connect any MCP server and Jarvis can use it, alongside its built-in connections.
- Send Jarvis out: Jarvis exposes its own memory and connected apps as an MCP server, so your coding agent can use them.

## Why it matters

- The whole MCP ecosystem works with Jarvis, not just a fixed list of integrations.
- If you already use MCP in Cursor or Claude Code, those servers carry over automatically.
- Your coding agent can reach what Jarvis knows and what it is connected to.
