# L1 · Your first word

The first rung of the Jarvis mastery path. Hold, speak, release, and understand exactly what just happened on-device.

Every level on the path unlocks one concrete capability. Level 1 is the smallest possible loop: press, speak, see text. Master this and the rest of Jarvis is variations on it.

## The loop

1. Place your cursor in any text field.
2. Hold Fn (push-to-talk) and speak naturally.
3. Release. Jarvis transcribes on-device and inserts the text.

Shortcut: Fn — Push to talk

Say this: "Send me the notes from yesterday, thanks."
Jarvis: Inserts the exact words you said, no aggressive rewrites.
