# Dictate a long email
URL: https://jarvis.ceo/docs/recipes/dictate-a-long-email
Status: now

A simple recipe: write a full email by voice, with punctuation and paragraph breaks, then fix it without touching the keyboard.

Long-form writing is where dictation pays off most. The trick is to speak structure, not just words.

## Say this

Say this: "Hi team comma new line Quick update on the launch period new paragraph We shipped the prerender pipeline today comma and the docs framework is live."
Jarvis: Hi team,
Quick update on the launch.

We shipped the prerender pipeline today, and the docs framework is live.

## Fix it by voice

- "Scratch that" removes the last thing you said.
- "New paragraph" drops down two lines.
- "Capitalize that" fixes the casing of the last phrase.

> Checkpoint: You can now write a full email faster than you type it. Next: have Jarvis send it for you.
