L2 · Flow

The second rung: stop reaching for the keyboard. Punctuation, formatting, and edit-by-voice make dictation faster than typing.

Level 1 was press, speak, see text. Level 2 is staying in flow: punctuation without lifting your hands, and fixing mistakes by voice instead of grabbing the mouse.

What you practice

  • Speak punctuation naturally, or say it ("comma", "new line").
  • Fix the last phrase with "scratch that" or "capitalize that".
  • Keep talking. Jarvis keeps up at about 240ms.
