Before you start
You need a Mac running macOS 12+ with at least 4GB free disk space and microphone permission rights. Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) is recommended for fastest local model inference. Intel Macs work but use a smaller model by default.
Step 1: Download the DMG
Open jarvis.ceo/download and click "Download Jarvis Free". Save the .dmg to your Downloads folder.
Step 2: Open and drag to Applications
Double-click the .dmg to mount it. Drag the Jarvis icon to the Applications folder shortcut shown in the installer window. Eject the DMG.
Step 3: First launch + permissions
Open Jarvis from Applications. macOS will ask for Microphone and Accessibility permissions. Both are required. Microphone is for capturing your voice; Accessibility is so Jarvis can type into other apps and trigger app actions.
Step 4: Test dictation
Press the default hotkey (Fn) and say "this is my first dictation in Jarvis". Release the hotkey. Text appears in the active text field.
Troubleshooting
If Jarvis says "microphone not detected", open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and toggle Jarvis on. If text doesn't appear in your target app, grant Accessibility permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. For Gatekeeper warnings on first open, right-click the app and choose Open.
